Binding Style
Step On Strapless snowboard bindings, are notable for their lack of straps. These systems typically require compatible boots to function properly; for example, Burton’s Step On system needs Step On boots with heel and toe cleats that connect to corresponding hardware on the bindings. Strapless bindings enable quick and easy entry and exit while delivering the same board control and support as traditional strap bindings.
Binding Mount Pattern
Channel The Channel replaced Burton’s 3D mounting pattern in 2014, featuring two parallel slots along the snowboard edges for each binding. This system allows for nearly limitless mounting options with just two screws per binding. While designed primarily for Burton’s EST Snowboard Bindings, it can also support various other bindings with compatible mounting discs.
Cant
No Canting refers to a footbed design in which the outside of the feet is slightly higher than the inside, creating a wedge shape. This configuration helps align your joints, which can lead to increased comfort and, in some cases, improved tip-to-tail response.
