Binding Style

Strap / Burton EST
Strap bindings are the most widely used type of snowboard bindings, recognizable by their flexible straps (or sometimes a single strap) that secure the boot. A ratcheting buckle tightens these straps over the ankle and toe, with each strap adjustable for a custom fit. The EST® mounting system eliminates hardware underfoot, features a cushioned footbed for better board feel, and provides unlimited stance options, designed specifically for boards with the Channel™.

Binding Mount Pattern

Channel
The Channel replaced Burton’s 3D mounting pattern in 2014, featuring two parallel slots along the snowboard edges for each binding. This system allows for nearly limitless mounting options with just two screws per binding. While designed primarily for Burton’s EST Snowboard Bindings, it can also support various other bindings with compatible mounting discs.
